How “no answers” is enforced, not just promised
- The AI is given the answer key only to check the work, with an instruction never to reveal it.
- Every response is checked automatically against the answer key and the final line of the solution before a student sees it.
- If a response could reveal the answer, describes work the student didn’t write, or the photo was hard to read, it is held for the teacher instead of being sent.
- The teacher releases or dismisses held responses from a review queue.

Any school, anywhere. Every school accepts the MathSense Homework Platform Terms when it creates its workspace, and that acceptance — the version, the exact text, who accepted it and when — is recorded and cannot be altered afterwards. For Canada and the United States we also maintain jurisdiction wording that is added automatically: a provincial addendum in Canada, federal and state wording in the United States. Elsewhere the platform terms apply on their own; if your school needs particular terms from a supplier, tell us and we will add wording for your country.
The school does. MathSense processes student data on the school’s instructions under the school agreement. The school admin can export or delete data for one student or the whole school at any time, and receives a deletion certificate when a deletion completes. Every access and administrative action is recorded in an append-only audit log the school admin can view.
Access is institution-managed: students join only through the school’s class codes and allowed email domains, and the school authorizes student access as a step of the agreement, in line with the age and consent rules that apply where the school is located. We collect no birthdate, phone number, address or face photos, show no ads, and run no analytics or behavioural tracking on students. Guardian notice templates are provided in the admin console.
Yes. A teacher invited by their school admin signs in with the same MathSense account and sees Homework alongside their existing tools. Teaching materials — units, uploads and rubrics — are shared across MathSense, so an assignment can be built from what a teacher already has.
Yes. A teacher uploads a textbook or worksheet once, from either MathSense workspace, and it is processed right away. The assign screen then mirrors the book itself: pick the section, pick the exercise group exactly as the book labels it (for example Quick Check Exercises 0.3 or Exercise Set 0.3), then click the problems and sub-questions. Students see each problem as printed, diagrams included.
A school leader runs the onboarding wizard: enter school details, review the agreement for your school’s location, authorize student access, add contacts, and sign in the app. Then invite teachers and set the allowed email domains.
